Steak with Garlic Cream Sauce

A tender, juicy steak paired with a rich and flavorful garlic cream sauce, perfect for an elegant dinner or special occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (8 oz each)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove steaks and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Add heavy cream and thyme leaves. Simmer sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  6. Return the steaks to the pan to warm through, spooning sauce over them.
  7. Serve steaks topped with garlic cream sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, add a splash of white wine to the sauce before simmering or serve with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes.
