Delicious Spiced Cranberry Sauce

This spiced cranberry sauce is a delightful blend of tart cranberries and warm spices, perfect for adding a festive touch to your holiday table. It’s easy to make and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Pinch of ground ginger

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool completely. The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
  4. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a boozy twist, add 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur or bourbon after removing from heat.
