Slow Cooker Queso Dip

This creamy and flavorful Slow Cooker Queso Dip is perfect for parties and gatherings, combining melted cheese with a blend of spices for an irresistible snack.

  • 16 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place Velveeta cheese cubes and shredded cheddar cheese into the slow cooker.
  2. Add the diced tomatoes with green chilies, diced green bell pepper, onion, and jalapeño if using.
  3. Pour in the milk and sprinkle garlic powder and cumin over the mixture.
  4. Stir everything together to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes until the cheese is completely melted and mixture is smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
  7. Keep warm in slow cooker and serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies.

Notes

For extra spice, add chopped fresh jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce. This dip can also be kept warm on the slow cooker’s warm setting for up to 2 hours.
