This shrimp linguine recipe features tender shrimp sautéed in a garlic butter sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked linguine for a quick and flavorful Italian-inspired meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Simmer for 2 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in butter until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Add the cooked linguine and parsley to the skillet; toss to coat evenly with sauce.
  7. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra richness, sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
