Homemade Salsa on a Table

This vibrant salsa is bursting with fresh flavors, perfect as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite Mexican dishes. It’s quick, easy, and naturally delicious!

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, grill the tomatoes and jalapeño before chopping. You can also add other vegetables like corn or black beans to make it a heartier salsa.
