Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Transfer batter to a piping bag or zip-top bag. Cut the tip off the bag and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Let donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. For the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Dip each donut into the glaze and place back on the wire rack to allow the glaze to set.
  10. Enjoy!

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle the glazed donuts with chopped pecans or a dusting of pumpkin pie spice.
