  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 8 slices of prosciutto, halved lengthwise
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Drain mozzarella balls and pat dry.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a strip of prosciutto, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  4. If using, tuck a fresh basil leaf under the prosciutto before wrapping for added flavor.
  5. Place wrapped bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Lightly brush each bite with olive oil and season with freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until prosciutto is crispy and mozzarella is warmed through.
  8. Remove from oven and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
  9. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.
