  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers, melted butter, and poppy seeds until crumbs are evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle cracker mixture evenly over the chicken mixture.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese if using.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
