Pistachio Lush Dessert is a luscious, multi-layered treat featuring a rich pistachio pudding, creamy whipped topping, and crunchy crust perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups cold milk, divided
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed and divided
  • 1 package (9 oz) vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the instant pistachio pudding mix with 1 1/2 cups cold milk. Let it set for 5 minutes.
  3. Layer half of the vanilla wafers in the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the wafers.
  5. Pour half of the pistachio pudding over the cream cheese layer, spreading evenly.
  6. Top the pudding with half of the whipped topping and spread carefully.
  7. Add a second layer of vanilla wafers, then repeat the cream cheese, pudding, and whipped topping layers.
  8. Garnish the top with chopped pistachios if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving to let layers set.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of almond extract to the cream cheese mixture or sprinkle shredded coconut on top for added texture.
