Pistachio Cream Croissants

Flaky, buttery croissants filled with a luscious pistachio cream make for a delightful treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 large croissants
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Place the pistachios in a food processor and grind until finely chopped.
  2. Add powdered sugar, softened butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt to the pistachios. Blend until a smooth pistachio cream forms.
  3. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pistachio cream mixture until fully combined.
  5. Slice each croissant horizontally without cutting all the way through.
  6. Spoon or pipe the pistachio cream generously inside each croissant.
  7. Optionally, dust the filled croissants with powdered sugar before serving.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 1 day.

Notes

For added texture, sprinkle chopped pistachios on top before serving, or warm the croissants slightly for a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
