Homemade Marshmallow Swirl Fudge on a Cutting Board

Indulge in the creamy delight of Marshmallow Swirl Fudge. This easy-to-make treat combines rich chocolate fudge with swirls of gooey marshmallow for a perfect balance of sweetness and decadence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • ⅔ cup evaporated milk
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 7 ounces marshmallow creme
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a full rolling boil.
  3. Continue to boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and immediately add the chocolate chips and marshmallow creme. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and nuts, if using.
  6. Pour half of the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining fudge mixture over the base layer, creating swirls with a knife or toothpick.
  8. Let the fudge cool completely at room temperature for at least 2 hours, or refrigerate for faster setting.
  9. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut into squares.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle some flaky sea salt on top of the fudge before it sets. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
