Halloween Brownies with Cream Cheese Swirl

These fudgy Halloween brownies are loaded with a swirl of sweetened cream cheese and topped with festive sprinkles. They’re a delicious and spooky treat perfect for parties or a festive dessert!

  • 1 box (18.3 ounces) brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Orange food coloring (gel or liquid)
  • Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare brownie batter according to package directions and pour into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  3. Divide cream cheese mixture in half. Add orange food coloring to one half and stir to combine.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of plain and orange cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter. Swirl together with a knife or toothpick.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Top with Halloween sprinkles before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the brownie batter. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
