Cheese Danish Fresh Out of the Oven

  • 1 package (14.1 ounces) refrigerated puff pastry
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 9 squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square.
  6. Bring two opposite corners of each square to the center and pinch to seal. Brush with milk.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
