Delicious Homemade Cake Pops

These homemade cake pops are a fun and delicious treat! Perfect for parties or a sweet afternoon snack, they’re surprisingly easy to make and customize.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) cake mix, any flavor
  • 1 can (16 ounces) frosting, any flavor
  • 12 ounces candy melts, any color
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Sprinkles or other decorations

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package directions. Let cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  3. Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt the candy melts according to package directions.
  7. Dip the tip of a lollipop stick into the melted candy and insert it into a cake ball.
  8. Dip the cake pop into the melted candy, covering completely. Tap off any excess.
  9. Immediately decorate with sprinkles or other decorations.
  10. Place the cake pop in a styrofoam block or on parchment paper to dry completely.

For a fun twist, try using different cake and frosting flavors! You can also add food coloring to the candy melts for custom colors.
