Golden Herb and Cheese Stuffed Puff Pastry Bites

These Herb and Cheese Stuffed Puff Pastry Bites are an easy and elegant appetizer perfect for parties or a quick snack. Flaky puff pastry filled with a savory blend of herbs and cheese creates a delicious bite-sized treat.

  • 1 sheet (14.1 oz) puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
  5. Carefully roll up the puff pastry into a tight log.
  6. Slice the log into approximately 1-inch thick rounds.
  7. Place the puff pastry rounds onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
  8. Brush the tops of the rounds with the beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese filling is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

Serve these warm or at room temperature. For an extra flavor boost, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cheese mixture.
