Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 wheel (8 oz) brie cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: cranberry sauce or fig jam for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a large circle about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the pastry, reserving some for topping.
  6. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide around the brie in a sunburst pattern, leaving the center circle intact under the brie.
  7. Twist each strip gently and fold it over the edges of the brie to create a wreath shape.
  8. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pastry.
  9. Brush the entire pastry wreath with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted inside.
  11. Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, and serve warm with optional cranberry sauce or fig jam.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, garnish the wreath with fresh rosemary sprigs or pomegranate seeds before serving.
