Golden Fried Brie Bites Appetizer

These golden-brown Fried Brie Bites are crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, making them the perfect appetizer for any occasion. Serve with a drizzle of honey or your favorite jam for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Honey or jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place brie cubes in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  2. In three separate shallow dishes, place flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs. Season the flour and breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove brie cubes from the freezer. Dredge each cube in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. Carefully drop the breaded brie bites into the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding.
  6. Fry for 15-20 seconds per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the fried brie bites with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve immediately with honey or your favorite jam, if desired.

Notes

For best results, make sure the oil is hot enough and avoid overcrowding the pan. Serve immediately for the best gooey texture.
