Air Fryer Fries

Crispy and golden, these Air Fryer Fries are a healthier twist on the classic favorite, made with simple ingredients and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes if desired, then cut them into evenly sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat the fries completely dry with a clean towel.
  4. Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  8. Check for desired crispiness before removing and serving hot.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, soak potatoes overnight and increase cooking time by 3-5 minutes if needed.
