Crispy Chilli Beef

Crispy Chilli Beef is a flavorful, crunchy stir-fry dish featuring tender beef strips tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

  • 300g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 spring onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Coat beef slices evenly with cornflour and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the beef in batches until golden and crispy; remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Add garlic, red chilli, and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and add soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili flakes; toss to coat.
  6. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with spring onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with steamed jasmine rice or noodles and garnish with fresh coriander for extra flavor.
