Creamy Pasta Soup in Bowl

This creamy pasta soup is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a chilly evening. Made with simple ingredients, it’s a quick and easy meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup small pasta shapes (such as ditalini or elbow macaroni)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  2. Pour in chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add pasta and cook according to package directions, or until pasta is tender.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade chicken broth. You can also add cooked chicken or sausage for extra protein.
