Delicious Cranberry Meatballs Appetizer

These Cranberry Meatballs are the perfect appetizer or main course, combining savory meatballs with a sweet and tangy cranberry sauce. They’re easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (14 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well with your hands.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
  7. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  8. Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the saucepan with the cranberry sauce.
  9. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the meatballs are coated in the sauce.
  10. Serve hot.

Serve these meatballs as an appetizer with toothpicks or as a main course over rice or mashed potatoes.
