Homemade Cookie Dough Bar with Toppings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, heat-treated
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup sprinkles

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Gradually add the heat-treated flour, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  5. Press the cookie dough mixture into a 9×13 inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

For an extra touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the bars before refrigerating.
