Christmas Morning Quiche

This Christmas Morning Quiche is a festive, savory dish packed with eggs, cheese, and flavorful ingredients, perfect for holiday breakfast or brunch.

  • 1 pie crust (9-inch, pre-made or homemade)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  4. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the pie crust.
  5. Add diced bell peppers and green onions on top of the sausage.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the vegetables and sausage.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the fillings in the crust.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly golden on top.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute sausage with sautéed mushrooms or spinach. Serve with a fresh side salad or warm Christmas morning fruit compote.
