DELICIOUS Chocolate Muffins

Indulge in these rich and decadent chocolate muffins, perfect for a quick breakfast or satisfying dessert. They’re incredibly moist and packed with intense chocolate flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Fill muffin liners about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra rich flavor, try adding a tablespoon of instant espresso powder to the dry ingredients.
