Chocolate Kataifi Bark

Chocolate Kataifi Bark combines crispy shredded kataifi pastry with rich melted chocolate to create an irresistible, crunchy dessert that’s perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g kataifi pastry
  • 150g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
  • 50g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 50g white chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios or nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Gently separate the kataifi pastry strands and toss them with melted butter until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the kataifi evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden and crispy. Remove and let cool.
  4. In a heatproof bowl, melt dark chocolate over a double boiler or in 30-second bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently.
  5. Once melted, spread the dark chocolate evenly over the cooled kataifi layer.
  6. Drizzle or spread milk and white chocolate over the dark chocolate layer to create a marbled effect.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios or nuts and a light dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
  8. Refrigerate the bark for at least 1 hour until set and firm.
  9. Break into irregular pieces and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, add a sprinkle of sea salt flakes on top before the chocolate sets to balance the sweetness.
