Chocolate Gnome Cheesecakes

  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
  • Chocolate chips and candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter; press into bottom of each liner to form crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in sour cream and vanilla extract until combined.
  6. Fold in melted chocolate until evenly incorporated.
  7. Pour batter over crusts in muffin tin, filling each about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake 18–20 minutes or until center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  9. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  10. Decorate with chocolate chips and candy eyes to create gnome faces before serving.

Notes

For an extra festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate on top or add a sprinkle of edible glitter to your gnomes.
