Chai Tea Latte

A warm and aromatic Chai Tea Latte blending spiced black tea with steamed milk for a cozy, comforting beverage perfect any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 star anise (optional)
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring water, cinnamon stick, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and star anise to a boil.
  2. Lower heat and simmer spices for 10 minutes to infuse.
  3. Add black tea bags and simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags and strain the spiced tea into another pot.
  5. Add milk and honey, then heat gently until warm but not boiling.
  6. Whisk or froth the mixture to your desired latte texture.
  7. Pour into mugs and serve hot.

Notes

For a vegan version, use almond or oat milk and maple syrup as a sweetener. You can also sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for extra flavor.
