Savor the bold flavors of tender blackened steak and shrimp combined with a creamy, rich Alfredo sauce for a decadent Italian-American dinner delight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz sirloin steak
  • 8 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp blackened seasoning
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the steak and shrimp evenly with the blackened seasoning on all sides.
  2. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing thinly.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and cook shrimp 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, melt butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently.
  7. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat well.
  9. Return sliced steak and shrimp to the skillet, gently mixing to combine and warm through.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes over the dish before serving or pair with a crisp green salad to balance the richness.
