peanut butter cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy peanut butter cookies made with natural peanut butter and simple ingredients, perfect for a classic homemade treat.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Stir in baking soda and salt until evenly mixed.
  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  5. Flatten each ball gently with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are lightly golden around the edges.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie before baking or add chocolate chips to the dough.
