Berry Croissant Bake

Freshly baked Berry Croissant Bake ready to serve

A deliciously warm and fruity berry croissant bake that blends flaky croissants with fresh berries and a creamy custard, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, day-old
  • 2 cups mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Tear croissants into bite-sized pieces and spread evenly in the prepared dish.
  3. Scatter the mixed berries over the croissant pieces.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, pressing gently to soak the bread.
  6. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the croissants to absorb the custard.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a drizzle of maple syrup.
