  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, for coating)
  • Crackers, pretzels, or vegetables, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Shape the mixture into a ball. You can use your hands or wrap it in plastic wrap to help shape it.
  4. If using, spread the chopped pecans or walnuts on a plate. Roll the cheese ball in the nuts until it is fully coated.
  5. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up.
  6. Serve with crackers, pretzels, or vegetables.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture. You can also substitute different types of cheese, such as pepper jack or Monterey Jack.
