Homemade Apple Cider Waffles with Cinnamon

These apple cider waffles are a perfect fall breakfast! They’re fluffy, flavorful, and infused with the warm spices of autumn.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, apple cider, melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Pour batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions until golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh apples.

Notes

For extra apple flavor, try adding diced apples to the batter or topping the waffles with sauteed apples.
