Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apple.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Brush the air fryer basket with melted butter.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each fritter.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway.
  9. While the fritters are cooking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
  10. Once the fritters are done, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the powdered sugar glaze.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the batter. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
