Delightfully tart and sparkling, these 3-Ingredient Sugared Cranberries make a perfect festive garnish or snack that’s quick and easy to prepare.

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and pat them dry thoroughly.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Stir cranberries into the warm syrup and let them soak for about 5 minutes.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, transfer cranberries to a wire rack set over parchment paper.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup sugar over the cranberries to coat them thoroughly.
  7. Let the cranberries dry for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

For extra sparkle, use superfine sugar or sanding sugar to coat the cranberries. These make a beautiful garnish for cocktails or desserts.
